Here is Episode 12 everyone! Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Ulrich here! I just wanted to inform everyone that I have made the decision to change my podcast server host from PodOmatic.com to Podbean.com for various reasons. This will take effect immediately and will have noticeable positive changes in the way you view and listen to the podcast.
The new podcast website is as follows....
www.laudanumonline.podbean.com
This new change will come with a small personal price to me and any help on this would be greatly appreciated. The new podcast page has a "donation" section that you can donate any amount of money towards the podcast site. The more donations I get, the more features I can bring to the site, including but not limited to Android app for my podcast, own domain, etc.
Thanks for all those who listen to my podcast! It means a lot!
Hey everyone! Ulrich here!
The Laudanum Christmas Exchange was yesterday and it was a blast! It took place at Magyar's castle, just south of Nymphtown on the island, at 2 PM Central Time and we had about 30-40 people show up and dance the day away! Normandie Radio was DJing at the party and did an absolutely fantastic job! They took requests, played Christmas music, and just made the party so much better being there.
Laudanum also had their gift exchange during the party and invited all those who weren't a part of Laudanum to join in the festivities anyway. I would call one pair at a time up to the second floor of the castle to the Christmas tree set up in the room up there and they would give their gift. Once they were done saying their thank-yous and such, I would send up the next group until everyone who had a gift to give was done.
Episode 10 is here! Here is what is included in this week's podcast.

We also want to make sure that the people who are providing direction to the people powered steam engine that is Laudanum are both involved and committed to the success of Laudanum as a group. Therefore this year, and every year hereafter we will be having a vote to see what you think of your leaders.

Episode 9 is recorded!! Since I cannot post the embedded version of the podcast into the main page, I will be posting just a link to it in the front page.
Every year I’d like to make it a tradition for me, as the leader of Laudanum, to do a state of the guild essay. The why’s are simple. I believe in transparent communication that is both clear and to the point. I also think that every member of the guild should know what we’ve done well over the last year, and what we need to improve on. At their heart both our successes and our failures are a guild thing. Not a leadership thing. They belong to each of us.
The goal of these essays therefore will be to increase everyone’s understanding of the guild, what we’re about, and what we need to do in order to get where we want to be. In order to make this somewhat more understandable and perhaps a little easier to read I’m going to break the essay up into sections. I’ll then rate the sections. Hopefully by the time you’re done reading this you’ll know what I think of what we are doing, and maybe even have a few ideas on how you can help keep the good things good and improve those things that we fell short on for next years essay.
I think I’ve rambled enough, so let’s get to it.
Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment to new and veteran players to learn and enjoy that is both vibrant and inclusive.
Overall Rating: Fair
At the time of writing this Laudanum Entropia Universe is at a 107 member count, placing us on the top charts for population. This is down from our previous high of 168 last year. That’s not a bad thing though. We recruited very heavily in 2010, and that reflected on our numbers at the start of 2011. Despite our high numbers though, the most members we had online at any one time during the year was 8. That puts our peak online percentage of total at 4.7%.
| Year | Total Members | Percentage Online |
|---|---|---|
| 2010 | 168 | 4.7% |
| 2011 | 107 | 15.8% |
